Creating better experiences at Napapiirin Järvilomat

At Napapiirin Järvilomat, we want every stay to be more than just a place to sleep. Our goal is to create meaningful experiences in the middle of Lapland’s peaceful nature, moments spent together, new experiences to remember and a genuine connection with the surroundings.

To take the next step in developing these experiences, we are currently working on a new development project at Napapiirin Järvilomat. At the heart of the project is a new central hub for our reception and activity services, bringing the most important parts of our guest services together in one place.

A smoother experience from the moment you arrive

The new reception will give our guests a clear and welcoming place to arrive, meet us, ask questions and get help throughout their stay. It will also bring our accommodation and activity services closer together, making the whole journey from arrival to departure smoother and more personal.

For us, this project is first and foremost about our guests. We want to make it easier to enjoy a holiday in Lapland without having to think about all the practical details. Whether you are joining an activity, looking for recommendations or simply need some help during your stay, our aim is to make everything feel easy and welcoming.

The new central hub will also help our team work more efficiently behind the scenes. By bringing our services and operations together, we can spend more time where it matters most: taking care of our guests and creating memorable experiences.

More activities and experiences for everyone in the area

An important part of the project is the development of our activity and safari services. New facilities for activities, safaris and equipment will allow us to organise experiences more efficiently, safely and for larger groups than before.

And this development is not only for guests staying at Napapiirin Järvilomat.

Starting next season, we plan to make our activities available to visitors staying elsewhere in the area as well. Our goal is to make it easier for anyone visiting the region to discover activities and experiences without having to travel long distances to find them.

We already offer a variety of experiences, and over time we want to make the selection even broader. Our plans include new activities especially for families and children, such as an ice-skating track, a sledding hill and, at a later stage, a mini snowmobile and ATV track.

We know that travelling with children comes with its own wishes and needs. That is why we want to create experiences where the youngest members of the family have plenty to look forward to as well and where families can simply spend time together, have fun and create memories that last long after the holiday is over.

Experiences inspired by Lapland

While we are developing and growing, we want to hold on to what makes this place special.

Our experiences are built around the nature, culture and traditions of the area. Rather than creating something that could exist anywhere, we want our services to feel like they genuinely belong here.

Napapiirin Järvilomat is surrounded by the peace and space of Lapland. For families, it is a place to slow down, explore nature together and share experiences away from everyday routines. For couples, it offers time together in a peaceful and romantic setting. We also welcome groups of friends and companies looking for a place to combine experiences, relaxation and time together.

Our long-term goal is to make it possible for visitors to find more of what they need for their holiday right here: accommodation, activities, food and additional services tailored to their stay.

Developing not only our services, but the whole area

This project is also part of something bigger.

Our surrounding area has great potential as a travel destination, particularly for visitors looking for a quieter and more authentic way to experience Lapland. At the same time, many tourism services are still limited locally. Visitors may currently need to travel considerable distances to find activities and other services.

We want to help change that.

By developing more activities locally, we can make staying in the area easier and more enjoyable while also contributing to the development of the destination as a whole. More local services mean that visitors can spend more of their holiday here instead of travelling elsewhere in search of things to do.

We also see great potential in working together with other local tourism businesses. In the future, for example, accommodation providers in the area could combine their stays with activities provided by Napapiirin Järvilomat. This could make it possible to offer visitors more complete holiday experiences while supporting several local businesses at the same time.

For guests, this could mean something very simple: more experiences nearby and an easier way to enjoy a holiday in Lapland.

Looking towards the future

This project is an important step in the long-term development of Napapiirin Järvilomat. The new central hub will give us a foundation for improving our current services while also creating space for new ideas, activities and partnerships in the future.

Our vision is to create a place where accommodation, activities and hospitality come naturally together, while keeping the peaceful atmosphere and authentic connection to Lapland that make our surroundings so special.

Most importantly, we want every development to have a purpose: to make our guests’ experience even better.

The project is currently underway, and we are excited to share more about the new facilities, activities and experiences as the work progresses.
