FIND YOUR LAPLAND LODGE EXPLORE WINTER ACTIVITIESBuild your own Lapland winter holiday
We do not offer fixed holiday packages with a predetermined programme. Instead, you choose your accommodation and book the activities you want separately.
This gives you the freedom to decide:
- which lodge is right for your group
- how many activities you want to book
- which days you want to keep free
- whether you prefer adventure, relaxation or a balance of both
- how much time you want to spend at your lodge
Some guests want to experience something new every day. Others choose one or two guided activities and spend the rest of their holiday enjoying the sauna, walking in the snow and relaxing together.
There is no single correct way to experience Lapland. Your holiday should feel like your own.
Stay in peaceful Finnish nature
Your accommodation is an important part of a Lapland winter holiday.
Our private lodges are surrounded by forests, lakes and quiet natural landscapes. Instead of returning to a busy hotel after a day outdoors, you return to your own warm cabin with space for your group.
Our accommodation options include romantic retreats for couples, traditional lakeside cabins for small families, spacious villas and chalets for groups and a historic farmhouse for larger parties.
Each accommodation has its own kitchen and private sauna. Depending on the lodge, you may also have a fireplace, lake views, an outdoor hot tub or a private jacuzzi.
Compare our Lapland lodges and choose the accommodation that best suits your group.
Choose the winter experiences you want
Winter activities can be booked separately according to your interests and travel dates.
Our experiences are intentionally personal and small-scale. Many take place in the surrounding nature, allowing you to spend less time travelling and more time enjoying the experience itself.
Explore local forests and frozen lake areas on a private snowmobile safari, or choose the very small shared ultimate snowmobile adventure. Families and guests who prefer not to drive can also experience the landscape from a private snowmobile-pulled sleigh.
Meet and feed our own reindeer in a peaceful setting and learn about their behaviour, seasonal rhythm and everyday care. Our reindeer experiences focus on meeting and feeding the animals rather than sleigh rides.
Discover the silence of the winter forest while snowshoeing, or spend time on a frozen lake during a guided ice fishing experience.
Available experiences, starting times and prices may vary. Check the current selection of winter activities before planning your days.
Enjoy Lapland at your own pace
A memorable winter holiday does not need to have an activity scheduled for every day.
Some of the best moments can be simple:
- waking up to a quiet snowy landscape
- enjoying breakfast without rushing
- walking outside your lodge
- warming up in your private sauna
- preparing a meal together
- spending an evening beside the fireplace
- stepping outside to look for the Northern Lights
The surrounding nature is not only somewhere you visit during an excursion. It is part of everyday life throughout your stay.
Keeping some days or evenings free also gives you flexibility when weather conditions change.
Example of a relaxed winter holiday
This is one example of how you could arrange several days in Lapland. It is not a fixed package, and accommodation and activities are booked separately.
Day 1 – Arrival and settling in
Arrive at your lodge, prepare an evening meal and relax in your private sauna. If the sky is clear, step outside to look for the Northern Lights.
Day 2 – Private snowmobile safari
Explore the surrounding winter landscape on a private snowmobile safari. After the safari, return to your lodge and enjoy a quiet evening without any additional programme.
Day 3 – Visit Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village
Spend the day exploring Rovaniemi and visiting Santa Claus Village. You can meet Santa Claus, cross the Arctic Circle and explore the shops, restaurants and other attractions in the area.
The visit is arranged independently and is not part of our activity programme. Check current opening hours and book any additional experiences directly with the relevant provider.
Day 4 – A day without a schedule
Sleep longer, enjoy the sauna and take time to appreciate the surrounding nature. Keeping a day free also gives you flexibility if weather conditions affect your other plans.
Day 5 – Meet the reindeer
Visit our own reindeer and join a guided feeding experience. The rest of the day can be left free for relaxing, walking in the snow or spending time at your lodge.
Day 6 – Snowshoeing or ice fishing
Choose a peaceful snowshoeing experience, try ice fishing or keep the day free if you prefer a slower holiday.
This is only an example. You can choose fewer activities, change their order or stay longer. Actual starting times and availability can be checked when booking each experience.
