What to wear and bring along
Layer up and stay warm, snowshoeing is active, but you’ll want to be prepared for Arctic weather. And don’t forget the most essential part: your snowshoes.
Snowshoes
We’ll help you choose the right size and model, whether you’re joining our guided safari or just renting snowshoes on your own. But if you’d rather decide yourself, here are a few tips:
- Consider your total weight (body + gear): heavier weight needs larger snowshoes
- Check snow conditions: soft powder = larger surface, packed snow = smaller, more agile shoes
- Choose traction for the terrain: hilly routes require snowshoes with good grip underneath
